Dancing Til The World Ends

Sunday evening some friends and I went to the Britney Spears concert.  Yes, you read that correctly.  On Saturday, when I was out for coffee with another friend, she said "SHHH!  Don't say that so loudly."  But now I am posting it on the Internet for all the world to read.  No one can shake it like Brit can- the show was great!  It is still HOT HOT HOT outside, so I wore a thin black dress to stay cool and comfortable.

First we went to dinner at Cava... remember when I wrote about it here?

And this is what I look like dancing at a Britney concert.  I know exactly what you are thinking... AWESOME.  Yeah.  I knew it.

Kings and Pawns, Emperors and Fools

The greater D.C. area has been experiencing one of hottest weeks on record.  There doesn't seem to be much relief from the heat anywhere you go!  Friday, the girls and I decided to venture out in the sweltering heat to try a new restaurant for happy hour and dinner.  We went to a variety of places for drinks, but had to hurry inside to get away from the stifling heat and into the cool air conditioning.

We had cocktails and dinner at Cava, which opened July 7 in Clarendon.

All of the cocktails, snacks, and entrees we had were fabulous, I would highly recommend!



This deliciousness is the lollipop chicken.  It is fried chicken in yogurt, honey, and walnuts.  Mouth-watering goodness!!



 After dinner, we worked our way through the outside-sauna to hit up some of the local hotspots.
